This has happened quite a few times on the BBC Two bulletin. Don't know why though!

It's because the short bulletins are now produced by News 24 so I presume they are introducing a few minor tweaks including the information astons being used on live reports (and they now always seem to have a live report on the 3.20pm update)

Silly question, but why is News 24 producing it?Confused

Production of the BBC One weekday daytime summaries moved to a combined News 24, Summaries and Interactive team last year.

It was realised that having three separate teams cutting similar sequences and writing similar scripts for the BBC News Interactive service, the News 24 headlines and half-past summaries, and the BBC One daytime summaries was a bit of a waste of resources and man power. Therefore the BBC One daytime summaries are produced by this joint team, although they are still presented by a BBC One presenter, from the BBC One studio, with a BBC One crew.

The introduction of News 24 story info astons came a bit later... but is most often seen during the BBC Two afternoon summary, as the morning summaries seldom have lives (though occasionally they do)

I think Gavin Esler and Valerie Sanderson should do more BBC1 news - not sure though about Maxine Mawhinney! Slightly off topic, but Sophie Raworth had a late night yesterday doing the Sunday 10 O'Clock News but was there bright and early today for Breakfast. Could they not have given her the morning off - she must have been knackered!

I think they should use both News 24 and BBC World presenters, especially World's, since we don't see half of the presenters, even though the rest of the world can see them and a few forum members!Wink

Phil Hayton should do BBC ONE weekends, IMO!

Also adding to that. Some sundays Rob Bonnet ( or in this case Sophie ) does the sport near the end of the News at about 10.15. Then the next morning at 06.35 hes there doing the sports news.

My Question is this. If presenters are doing an early morning show go home when theyve done a late evening show the evening before. If not do they sleep somewhere or just work the extra hours before the show.
