BBC News really need to sort out their astons. They are just dismal. That purple colour looked quite nice for the first, 5 reports, but it is really horrible and boring. Dateline London's red aston is nice and so is Brekkie'scream one. Just bin the purple from BBC News

Yeah, I can't see anything wrong with the transparent red astons used on Breakfast from time to time, I'd look nice with an ivory top line (in other words, like News 24, but red replacing purple). Perhaps they could do something when the new News 24 graphics eventually come?

Are some new anniversary graphics planned? This is the first I've heard about this.

A possible relaunch of the graphics on One and News 24 along with the BBC One logo perhaps?

Matthew Amroliwala used to do Sats and Sundays a lot last year.

He must have stopped as I haven't seen him around on News 24 lately either!

Matthew's just been off for a couple of weeks, I presume. He'll be back on Monday.

Nice to see Jane on One, BTW! Smile Smile

I think his wife has had a baby so he's taken some leave to be with them...

This has happened quite a few times on the BBC Two bulletin. Don't know why though!

It's because the short bulletins are now produced by News 24 so I presume they are introducing a few minor tweaks including the information astons being used on live reports (and they now always seem to have a live report on the 3.20pm update)

Erm, not wishing to brag, but annoyingly I should like to refer to this post of mine: http://www.tvforum.co.uk/cgi-bin/ikonboard/topic.cgi?forum=1&topic=2840&start=18#pnum26

hmmm, correct on one of them so far. Wink

Silly question, but why is News 24 producing it?Confused

He was hosting International Correspondents (an interesting show) on CNN today!!!

I don't know how he's allowed to, I'm quite sure he's not left BBC News... I saw Jon Snow do it from the Channel Four News set once, but then of course ITN have strong links with CNN.

I quite like Jeremy, actually, he's one of the more interesting newsreaders at the BBC. Wasn't suited for the 1 O'Clock when he did it, though!

In my opinion tanya beckett should be used more, why ius she on world so we can hardly ever see her, i'd love her to present on bbc one, and yes definately more sophie raworth. I reckon carrie gracie would be good too
