BBC One - New Look

I've had two well placed BBC sources tell me that BBC One is getting a new look this month (Feb). That means that the BBC balloon has less than 30 days to live


If my sources aren't fibbing, I'd hazard a guess at Feb 11th for a new look. Anyone else care to throw their hat into the ring?

Oh God, another big tease - but you've got official sources so I'll let you off! I'd set the video for tomorrow morning if I were me!

I'll inform the seamstresses to get ready with the duvet patterns....

I was told Feb by my unreliable source. Which either means we all have the same untrustworthy source or it's going to be Feb.

Well if certain continuity announcers are told the exact date, it can't be that far away I'd agree and say Feb 11th. Bet anyone at the Beeb reading this is laughing their head off.

I hope the next 30 days go slowly - Do anything but don't get rid of the balloons please!!!!!

Um, I don't wish to sound pessimistic, but I think you might have to get your wallet out. Maybe you can buy the balloon on the BBC and start up a hot air balloon hire company!

I doubt it'll be February 11th. Surely there can't be two new BBC channels as well as a relaunch on BBC One? There's the whole 'look out february 11th...the bugs are coming'. You wouldn't want a new look BBC One stealing CBBC's thunder.

Am I the Only one who don't like the baloon. Keep the Globe but not in Baloon Form.

I would put money on tomorrow actually, although I've no doubt this won't be the case, it's just those new Saturday programme trails would fit in with this. Why release new trails, and then a new look a week or so later ???

Mind you, I gave up trying to understand these TV companies years ago.

I'm willing to put a penny bet on it being Monday - Seems to be that all new BBC things almost always start on Mondays...

If the reliable sources say it's not till later this month then let's go with it. I'm sure it will be soon as the trailers are obviously already being prepared in a new style.

Maybe we're getting them creeping in now because they want to make sure that after the big change they don't still have old-style trailers left over. The average person won't spot the new look on the trailer unless thay are looking for it, like we are - but if there are old style things floating about AFTER the change it will be much more obvious.
