The graphics themselves are well done but the message is just so forced, charmless marketing pap. Remove the "love" and you'd have a pleasant enough piece of animation.
And the ident's the wrong way round, which doesn't help any campaign when you get such basic things wrong.
It's not like the graphics are bad at all. But it just seems soul-less and devoid of any feeling of excitement and "love". Just an excuse to play some different graphics, but adding nothing new.

If you removed the love, and created a slimar bunch that used loads of colours and graphics, with similar animation, that would do for a new bunch of idents.

I actually like the 'Love' idents. They look great when watching BBC One HD as they're not up-scaled like the usual branding.

2014 is not over yet!
My eyes are bleeding. If I thought 2014 could have been the year that they may have tidied some of the presentation up... I was completely wrong.

The music for Love 2013 was a little quirky but much more interesting than the Love 2014 soundtrack.

The use of a predominantly plain background, at form up, is never going to appear very interesting, visually, in my opinion. This, more than anything else, lets it down.

As I said, it should start with the 2014 popping out of the background and animate towards a reveal of the BBC One logo, with the push up things animating around it (you know, as in, wow, forming a circle) once it gets there.
I'd have thought this would be obvious for an ident. Have they forgotten what one of those is for?
