'Swinside Stone Circle' is a particular favourite of BBC North (Leeds) and is one of 2 (I think) BBC One Idents they show! I get bored of seeing it all the time - the BBC should at least have given us Byland Abbey (which I think has now been withdrawn) as at least it shows somewhere in the region!
Often on BBC North they seem to use the same baloon music even if it doesn't match the pictures (The 3 notes such as on English 10 - London etc), Occassionally they show an ident complete with its unusual music (such as English 2 - South Downs, which always sounds out of place over the wideshot of the studio)
anyway popular baloons used by Look North include:
C'Mon BBC Wales start as u mean to go on - give us the brilliant English idents, and bring back the the other two Felixstowe variations that you stupidly scrapped!

BBC Wales never scrapped Felixtowe, these were withdrawn by London land and subsequently went in the nations. All the Welsh Balloons are still in play and none of them have been withdrawn, although they have in England.
Needles, Angel of the North, Forth Bridge, Claymill(?) and Blackpool can be seen in Wales James. You should start watching more of the BBC during the evening and less of the competition
