At last! Someone else who agrees! I love the balloons - there represent that BBC will go all over the country to bring the best programming.
I love the balloons, please don't rid of them Mrs BBC
I'll work for you for half price if you do keep them

yes - they should think up some mroe locations - perhaps a space balloon????/
I think that would be a good one if ever they dumped the clock on BBC ONE. You could have a view of the newsroom and through one of the windows you can see the balloon. Well, I think it would be good.
TVC Downing Street
Buckingham Palace
Liverpool Skyline
Perhaps for BBC America they could have ones over
The White House
Seattle
New York
Chicago in Autumn and Winter
just a few suggestions!!

Personally, I don't see why they can't have an intro like News 24. All they have to do is, eg go to the ident 20 seconds before one and have what's coming up written on the screen. This could differ for the regions.
Also, why do they have a BBC One O' Clock News anyway? Why can't they join up with News 24 and simulcast? Or is that TOO radical? Lol
There are loads one balloons they could do. I think they should film more regional ones. I don't think any of the BBC ONE Midlands ones are actually in the Midlands.
I've seen one of the Cardiff ones before Midlands Today once!

When the balloon is scrapped, what should it be replaced with?
a speeded up aerial veiw of earch from a space station, with the countries whizzing past below?
a camera at some of some famous British landmarks - Stonehenge, Westminster, My House, Loch Ness etc, and the camera could move slowly around 360 degrees with some balloony music??
Haha! Don't knock C5, their idents are great! Although they seem to have scrapped the long version (with C5 'personalities') doing stupid things. Shame really!
