BBC One Idents

Following the tragic news of Ms Heggessey's leaving the BBC today, there has been a real optimisum that the "Dancer" idents are heading for room 101.
So what kind of idents would you like to see in the future, whether its animation, "liveaction" or even globes.
Feel free to come up with weird and wacky ideas. I personally think it would be very funny to have a series of "spuff" idents for Comic Relief, but not just one but the whole set over the day, like :
Capoeira, watching the two men dance around before having one fall off the building.
Not terrible cost effective I know, but hey.
Anyway just wondering what new ideas we could come up with

They could combine it all and have a load of people watching BBC one then it would zoom out to reveal a globe,then it would keep spinning backwards and forwards.

OK, I know it's not the Mock Forum, and so far it hasn't had a very good reaction from the members at MHP, but if they were to bring the globe back (and keep the red BBC ONE box) it might look something like this: http://pp.meldrum.co.uk/files/2005/bbconecow(1).bmp

Or even having the Red Box in the middle instead. It's very unlikely they will reuse any ident but hopefully they will introduce something more modern connected to the globe.

The dancer idents have given a corporate branding to BBC ONE that's abolished the dated globe. The globe won't come back and with any luck the dancers will stay - my favourite idents by far

Who in God’s name thought up the film clip BBC1 puts on between programmes? It puts you to sleep.
People moving like slow-motion zombies in red silk pyjamas. If they move any slower, they’ll topple into the water.
There’s more life in a tramps vest.
There are seven or eight of them. I fell asleep before I finished counting.

I hope the Dancers stay for a while longer I like them and to be honest the Globe means nothing to me. I only liked it when they had the balloon idents, which I think were the best to date.

Bob Johnson was mentioning the BBC One idents tonight - the last report was about Bollywood films... followed by the usual natter between Bob and Mike: "they should audition for the BBC - for that thingymajig between the programmes - that's Bollywood isn't it?"

why not have a globe inside the BBC ONE box (like N24)?

Surely the globe has be hijacked by BBC News? Although it would be nice to see it back it would probably look a little odd now. BBC2 have the 2, BBC3 its blobs, BBC4 the arty farty things so what could represent BBC1. Back to regional views? BBC celebs? Anything but the bloody dancers.

I say, lets have wonderful lit up views of interesting UK buildings and landmarks, with the ident finishing on a wideshot, featuring the BBC Balloon floating in the background (real or cg) With dramatic music of different styles and tones depending on the programme following the ident.

The box should also animate on screen (a simple fade or cut) with the final shot, not throughout the ident...
