When comes to events with timings like swimming does the BBC receive a different set of OBS graphics without the Omega logo?

But Rkolsen said 'with timings' this screenshot is for diving? Diving isn't timed?!

I didn't realize the Omega logo appeared elsewhere. But thanks for answering my question as to if the Omega logo appears on the BBC feeds. Would this be considered a violation of the no sponsorship policy!

Such logos have been appearing on BBC coverage of sports for as long as I can remember (probably before I was even born).

It's always been the case on sport for as long as I can remember. It's not sponsorship, it's just crediting the timing partner. It's far less blatant than the "thank yous" on the telethons.

Elonex Computer graphics appeared on snooker coverage for years.

I distinctly remember the BBC using some really ugly 8 bit style graphics for Cricket in the 80s, yellow monospaced text on a blue background, each word on a separate opaque blue box.

These had a credit for "Honeywell Bell Computer" that was just text in the same format and took up quite a bit of the screen.

Sponsorship logos have been appearing on sport graphics for as long as I can remember too. AIUI it's not for the graphics per sé but the computer system used in the background to collate and distribute the scores. Wasn't it Olivetti that did the Olympics for years?

Doesn't matter. Omega are the official time/distance/scoring measurment operators of the Olympic Games.
Hence why they have the logo on the event results screens have 'Omega' on them.
At least a small red block is a lot more subtle than some sports...

It's one of those things where it's "integral" to the event so they get away with it, right?
