It's the fact they used stuntmen that I'm bothered about. In Acrobats, where was the safety net!?! Breaches Health and Safety if there isn't one, so putting that out of shot - if indeed there was one - wasn't very smart for Auntie's image.
You are getting more surreal by the minute. Are you serious? Go and put your head in a bucket of water you fool. I'd be more concerned about workers tap dancing in a factory. Cretin.
DAS this is a forum for open discussion, so people can discuss their viewpoint just as you can. It would seem from other topics (BBC Two Ident & Subtitling) that you have a real problem with listening to other viewpoints. I think the use of the word Cretin shows this very clearly. Perhaps you should only comment if you have something worthwhile to add to the discussion, I am sick and tired of seeing your rude comments and remarks. I know others have left the forum in the past due to such behaviour - could you stop it now?
nothing to do with the fact that digifiend spiring is a tiresome kn*b who seems to have nothing better to do all day than comment in EVERY single topic with inane, universally unwelcome, uninformed and irritating comments?
Safety measure? They're dancing in a studio!
They do climb a few rungs, but then how many window cleaners and builders climb 10 times as far without 'safety features'?
And what about all those people who scale tall buildings and leap from rooftop to rooftop just so that they can switch on BBC ONE a mere 90 seconds after leaving the office?
Oh, and incidentally they really ARE dancing in a power station, although I think a bit of scenery has been added for them to climb up.
Maybe not, but it is a reason to call for the entire set to go - using stunt-people probably wasn't Lambie Nairn's best idea! Anyway, I'd be interested to know how many people have downloaded the idents from BBCi - the 2s have probably had at least treble the number of downloads!
So you're suggesting in all seriousness that the whole concept of people idents should never have been adopted becuase the people in them may die? The words "logic" and "twisted" spring to mind.
Exactly. If you followed Digifiend's logic, every actor would be out of a job - no point in filming them in case they died. We'd end up with a tv world made up entirely of cartoons.
I am not getting further involved but just wish that people who use the Forum could do so in a polite manner. It is fine to disagree with people but name calling is not welcome here.
Just think about how you react and engage with others in your place of work or in public places - I am sure very few would behave in such an unpleasant way.
Back to the topic I am still awaiting my call from the BBC Press Office regarding the ident...
Strangely enough last night on BBC One Scotland I saw the acrobats ident twice after not seeing it for ages, I thought to myself it was strange at the time. When was the ident pulled? It was certainly in prominance up till late last night.

They could've done them at ground level - if the factory ident was in a ground floor studio, what a relief!
