Am I correct in thinking that there is one girl and two boys in the Acrobat ident with the girl in the middle?

They've all got a collection of idents now i believe.

I never said it was definitely Eva in the ident, but it seems a hefty coincidence for two circus deaths to happen on the same weekend!

Yes, especially as all the shots of Eva I've seen involve her doing basically what they do in the Acrobats ident. I don't like the idea of reshooting or editing the ident. Whilst withdrawing it is appropriate, editing it just seems wrong to me.

I still want to see Salsa before North West Tonight though.

They shouldn't remake it. That would be worse than just continueing to show it.

And Digiblah she didn't necessarily have to have died while performing. It could have been a Road accident or something. I don't recall seeing anywhere that she died while performing. Jumping to conclusions.

My sympathy to the family and friends of those concerned.

Although obviously sad about the death, it seems odd that the ident has been dropped altogether. Surely the family would want it to be continued to be used as a tribute to her work, or at least resurrected after a period? This is what Laura Sadler's family asked for.

It does make sense why BBC North West used Tai-Chi at 1pm, when usually it's Acrobats without fail and Tai-Chi only at 6.30pm.

It also means there are only two news idents now (since Ballet has pretty much disappeared off the face of the earth), and Acrobats was used before documentaries and the like so Capoeira and Tai-chi will be seen a lot more...

Still, Acrobats was used at 6am before Breakfast today, I wonder if that was the last time we'll ever see it...

In the West, we had Tai Chi too into the One O'clock News.

Acrobats was a good ident so presumably Tai Chi will now be the ident used before the news mostly now?

That's odd - I kept seeing Acrobat - so I'll be watching BBC1 tonight to see what the replacement is!

Indeed ison, good old Kay showed us Haka with a new variant on the opening.

As for dropping the ident, it is a bit over the top, if one of the kids got run over in a crash would the Xmas Ident be cancelled. I wouldn't have dropped it, since they are now 2 idents down. These idents are cursed!!

Read the thread properly BB! I didn't say it definitely the same girl - just that it would be an incredible coincidence if it wasn't. And of course, the BBC withdrew Acrobat because they were being respectful to the family. The stupid ass who screened it at 6am should hang his head in shame!

Ironic how on French and Saunders then that the mock Acrobat Ident featured the middle woman falling off her rope. Ouch

My thoughts are with the family, it was a wise decision to axe the ident, after all it is only an ident.

Not until a few posts ago. Even then you do still imply it.

So perhaps you need to re-read all threads before you post. So don't get on your moral high 12yearold horse and tell me what to and not to do.
