He means with respect to the ident. No-one's denying an acrobat died - what's at issue is whether it has anything to do with the Acrobats ident.

The ident seems to have been temporarily withdrawn - and it seems that it was due to the death with regards to taste and respect, but not a result of one of the idents acrobats dying themselves.

Correct. The acrobats in the ident were colleagues of the acrobat who died, so the ident has been temporarily withdrawn - as I said some time ago Rolling Eyes

Indeed - but Mr Luxton decided he'd throw some inacurate information into the fray, which I corrected.

Quite. In fact the Acrobats ident is now officially back in circulation.

BTW Chris, have they improved the car parking situation at BBC Bristol since I worked there (1996)? Laughing

Dear God no ... if anything, it's worse!

They're restricting the parking all through Clifton, Kingsdown and surrounding areas - and parking permits have become the only way to get a space on site.

I walk, thankfully Smile

Is public transport round BBC Bristol good?

Hahahaha ... you can't read the website too often then!

To be frank, it's bollurks.

Buses are run by First, and are usually late ... they've been oft fined over it. The bus station - even if it's being rebuilt - is a tip.

Trains only run once an hour, and no on Sundays.

The council have proposed a light rail plan, which involved some government cash, but it seems to be all talk and no action, if you see what I mean.

There's loads of park and rides now, but desperately bad links back into the city from them.

The tow-away people are a total nightmare - if you leave your car on a single yellow for 30mins, you'll be lucky to not next see it at the pound ...

My info was supplied in good faith - sorry it's turned out to be inaccurate but please, don't shoot the messenger!

Perhaps you should turn around and give your source an earbashing. I certainly would if they made me look like a fool.

Why have we now gone back again to the Tai Chi regional idents?

Don't forget that the regions always hated only having Acrobat available. The fact that they've now been sent Tai Chi and Capoeira as well, albeit in unfortunate circumstances, is no doubt something they're happy about.

Having said that, when and where did you see a regional ident?

Erm... ahead of Midlands Today 6.30 yesterday.

Ah, I thought you meant they'd used one today. Yep that'll be it then, they now have two or three to use, so they're using them in the same way Network uses different ones. Either that or they erased their copy of Acrobat when they read on TV Forum that it was being permanently withdrawn. Laughing
