BBC ONE ident removed

Apparently, one of the performers in the Acrobat ident has died and as a result the ident has been dropped. A shame, considering I thought it was one of the best. What has happened in regions who only have Acrobat on tape?
(Edit) It is suggested that the ident has only been temporarily withdrawn.

I just tuned into the One O'Clock News, and they started it with a regionally branded Tai Chi ident - is this a first, or have some regions been given this ident too? Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere!

In Leeds, we had a streched Tai Chi Ident . It looked awful

Pebble Mill didn't let us down and used Haka before the One O Clock news here in the Midlands.

OMG! Well, I read about a girl in a trapese act crashing to the ground (with no safety net!) in The People yesterday - was this girl the same performer you refer to? Pity the ident had to go, but I guess it's respectful to the family.

How many people are in the ident set altogether? If you use people idents, there's always a risk that someone featured in them will die before the ident is retired.

The only person I know of in that ident is Jane DeVine-Osborn.

Well, can't they re-make the ident, and is this a dancer who is constantly in shot? Couldn't it be re-edited so that she is never visible?

A shame to see this one go, it (along with ballet) were the only vaguely reasonable ones in the set.
