Just as I was about to say what was appearing on the live feed on the BBC Sport site, which was explaining that there were power problems, it's now stating the coverage is "Coming up". I'm guessing everything is okay on their end now...
I was surprised that Duncan didn't advise the golf coverage was going to continue on BBC Two in the junction after the news and before the Weakest Link.
This doesn't really capture how long it took for BBC One to notice the feed had gone. That frozen picture of the golf ball in the air was on screen for what seemed like ages.
The breakdown music is awful - whilst it's good to hear the ident music for breakdown purposes they surely need something better - 25 second or so pieces that kind of just stop mid flow don't sound right.

Anyone know if the golf was on the wireless as well? What did they do?
Is anyone going to watch the programme on Sky Sports and see how they explain the lack of pictures? I'd be interested to know.

It'll be on 'Golf Night' on SS3 at 11pm. I would be surprised if Sky Sports made a big deal of this - it's not like a football match where there would be a huge gap, it would probably be reasonably easy to gloss over it with a tactically placed leaderboard and a bit of a voiceover.

You are looking at this with technical eyes. You also need to look at it with political eyes. Will Sky use it as an opportunity to bash the BBC?
