Well I'd like to find out everybody's favourite BBC1 globe, I've put the majority of them in the poll, if the one u like isn't there then vote for 'A Globe Not Mentioned' and tell me in a post which one it is, you can also give ur reasons for choosing the globe u did and if u want the Balloons to stay or not!

I think your dates are slightly awry: watch strap globe 1960s - certainly not 1986 although I'm sure that's a typing error!! http://web.ukonline.co.uk/tv.home/forum/emoticons/cheesy.gif ; first BBC1 Colour globe (black/blue) was introduced in November 1969, then the blue/yellow version with bold lettering in 1975, the blue/green version with stripy lettering in September 1981 (which later reverted to blue/yellow) and the COW in February 1985.

Tricky to choose a favourite though - the COW is probably the best of the lot, and possibly the greatest ident in the world ever - but the early 80s mirror globe one has to win for me, simply because it's the one I grew up with and makes me go misty-eyed with nostalgia!

Yeah, sorry about the typing error, for the watch strap, I meant 1968 of course. Sorry about the dates on the earlier globes as I havn't memorized my knowledge of these as well as I did with the '2' logos yet. I was also happy the other day as I bought 2 tapes from a car boot sale, one had the THAMES 1992 Ident on it and the other had the 1986 COW Globe, I was so happy a COW Style slide of that era too, and at an end of a programme promotion, the 1988 Christmas still logo, I was so happy, I love car boot sales, whenever I buy old blank videos ppl think I'm just gonna tape over them but I buy them fot old TV material.
