Jamez, as far as I can see, a BBC ONE closedown and crossover to the testcard is part of TV Presentation. If this genre is 'sad' to you, you're quite obviously in the wrong forum.

I recognise that you put the simile there but what's your problem? I personally don't find the testcard exciting either but I find other ways of saying that than just slagging off other people. Was what you asked me to put in the announcements, a load of rubbish?

I was disappointed to see that at both 1:10, 3 and 4 we just got standard UK-wide announcements rather than Scottish ones.

But very few people would care about the nationality of the announcer/ident at that time of the morning - I doubt many do anyway.

James - It isn't the test card we care about - it's the other things we care about.
It is interesting to compare what the people have written here compared with those on MHP chat.
