What about Cambridge and the channel Islands?

I think that they will pop up on a different transponder - as the current two are full. Believe that BBCi will be surrendering two slots on their transponder.

Cambridge should be able to launch soon - but the link from Jersey to Plymouth (as the DSat feed will be generated in Plymouth) is not installed yet - so they will be later.

Noggin - I'm really surprised they got all this up and running so quickly ... Damn good going to have managed it.

I don't think Friendly TV have quite managed it have they? The sound is certainly dire, and they've only got one channel to look after!!

Just love Points West!! FAB Very Happy Also great to see the South Today oxford opt at last!

One thing what will we get on 101 from the 29th July. Will it be our "home" region?

Pity none of this is available to us in the nations yet!! Crying or Very sad

Is this simply due to the postcode encryption or at all anything to do with whether or not you have the new Sky card or not?

You will get your own region on 101 if you have a Sky or FTV card I believe. I know BBC will be FTA before anyone picks me up. Razz

The English regions are not FTA yet - they won't work without the viewing card in. The conditional access system is therefore still in place, but presumably there is no differentiation between the English regions so anyone who has 'England' postcode mapped to then is able to watch any English region wheras those in the nations are not able to see them.

I've finally seen what the 'other lot' in south Lincolnshire see; East Midlands Today! It was presented by Quentin Rayner and Lisa Dransfield. And it was EXCELLENT!! How great of Quentin and Lisa to subject themselves to the Harry Potter makeover!!

First impressions are very favourable indeed! Roll on Dominic and Anne!!

I hope you've been watched Spotlight too, that's always worth a look.

It's on the agenda! Lisa Gallagher was on weather duty today, so that gave me a good opportunity to see both lunchtime and teatime on East Midlands Today.

I'll be catching Spotlight tomorrow with their Saturday show and on Sunday I am planning to see Points West!

Hardly, Phil. Since they were actually taking the already encoded DTT MPEG feeds back to London, it was a bigger job that I think you realise.

But, of couse, I said it ... so you have to try and start another arguement. Well done.
