Even if you put BBC ONE Camb, it would be like it was for a county. You can't call it BBC ONE West, obviously, as it's not.

So BBC ONE East (West), even though it's a bit dodgy in the sense that it's the west of the east Shocked is the only option.

What about BBC Home Counties?

Trouble with that, Katherine, is that "Home Counties" can refer to any or all of the lump from Oxford to Dover.

950 BBC One East

As I understand it, 950 will be East Midlands (Nottingham), not just East.

In preparation for tomorrow's launch on the EPG, each of the BBC English regions are sporting massive DOGs.

I thought we'd been promised we'd seen the last of these.

The worst thing is, half of them stretch more than half way across the top of the screen - especially things like BBC ONE Yorkshire & North Midlands and BBC ONE East Yorkshire & Lincolnshire.

The DOGs aren't even in the more subtle opaque style used by BBC THREE and BBC FOUR - they're full-on 100% white.

I generally don't have a major problem with DOGs, but these are ridiculous!

The DOGs are temporary. They will be removed after final testing is complete.

Bit annoying for anyone trying to capture stuff though... hope no new idents or trails appear once, never to be seen again, while that DOG is around!
