My goodness, sudenly being a sceptic is being construed by everyone (except Squarey) as calling the bloke a total liar.

The chap's even calling me an "arse", now, in a PM, which is a carbon copy of his latest post, except for the addition of the expletive.

Next thing on here, all the agnostics will be branded as athiests.

Will you all please go away and check your dictionarys.

You can then come back and apologise if you care to.

Did you know that you are in a video Nick? i just saw it - very funny!! The hat suits you! Very Happy

I dont want this post to slip into another slanging match that's why I Private Messaged.
Feel free to return to normal debate -

Personally I`m really curious to watch the BBC One Scotland, and its an extra choice of programmes, as they sometimes change the schedule after 10pm

Yes, and I'm after One Wales.

I currently watch a fair bit of 2W and would like the "other half".

I'm more keen to see Newsline myself... not sure why.....

I caught a bit of 2W a couple of days ago for the first time since launch and have those awful green idents been dropped? I saw a live-action (yawn) ident showing a train passing a crossing with the 2W box in the corner and then when the gate moved back, the 2W box moved in line with it (as if it was attached to the gate) Nice touch but boring ident nevertheless.

No, they're still going, Asa.

Must say I quite like them, myself.

2W on level crossing gate. Secretary puts coffee cup on 2W. 2W on luggage conveyor belt. 2W on beer pump which gets pulled. 2W beer mat gets flipped into the air. 2W on side of van that drives away.

There are LOTS more which I forget.

BBC ONE Scotland seem to be disappointing in some of the regional slots, choosing to go with repeats of Changing Rooms or UK's Worst.. etc, like for example in the Monday 1930 slot where the rest of the UK is being local. I must say the annos on TWO Scotland that I've caught have been nice though so I hope that's an indication of the main channel.

But you're better off sticking with ONE Wales of *course* -- the CAs are much nicer, more local trails, longer and less-rushed junctions, and the box just looks complete with the 5 letter word in it too!

I'm not sure if the quotas for the amount of local output for BBCs Wales, Scotland and NI are actually equal, but it would seem that Wales produce an awful lot more than the other two, certainly Scotland anyway. The number of BBC Wales programmes in the week maybe run into double figures -- do Scotland's?

Am curious to see Reporting Scotland and the *branding flood* that is Newsline too. Probably just the once though, before reverting back to Derek and the dragon.

As Nick says, they're both being used, but you'll find the *bright* green idents only being used before the news chiefly, and for menus. There are many versions though -- boxes inside boxes, numbers, criss-crossy lines, cubes etc. They are touch bright for me, mind.

The live-action idents work for me on 2W though [perhaps the only ones that do], they suit the channel perfectly, and aren't too self-conscious, a bit like five's, the people don't react to the camera, and they're often humorous too!

A few others I can think of to add to are 2W on the surfer's van, biker doing tricks on a 2W, cat coming through a 2W cat flap and man opening 2W garage door.

The 7.30 repeats are a little dull - but some of the 10.35 slots are really strong, and worth looking out for.

Reporting Scotland is probably in need of a bit of a revamp these days, although we probably won't see that happening until the beeb move out to Govan.

Are you remembering that every Tuesday and Thursday BBC One Scotland have "River City" (well worth a watch before it ends - I urge you), so the "repeats" you mention may well be first run for us.

Frankly I'm quite looking forward to your reviews on Rep Scpt, and the other Scottish output.

BBC One Wales isn't much different from BBC One. Only difference is the addition of 'Wales' on the idents and different announcers.

Wales Today starts immediately after the Six O Clock News unlike England where there is a trailer and then a recorded announcement.
