Well I must say I was impressed with Look North last night where the presenters introduced themselves in vision over the preceding ident music before the headlines and titles started - very swish.
Yep - South Today also used to do it - haven't really noticed if they still do.
Yes, today is now what we all know as Kay Day - as fans all over the UK and in parts of Europe have witnessed the spectacular event that is Kay.
Rather amusing moment on EMT when I switched over - cut to the weather shot a bit early and Anne and Dom over-reacted in that "soooo surprised" style that they both do so well. I'm sure Anne drinks something before she sits down in that chair but they really are a fabulous pairing. I had forgotten how good the programme was after not seeing it in ages.
But fear not - my love for Kay is stronger than ever...and I wouldn't want to wake up with anyone else.
I've not seen Kay on a live Mids Today since about 1991? when East Mids Today started??, so it was very cool to see her at lunchtime today, for me she WAS (and now is - thanx to dig sat) Midlands Today - she hasn't changed a bit!
As for Anne Davies I'm sure she has a gin or three before 6.30
Only on special occasions (ie, when there's no-one else around to voice packages!)
Maybe you could broadcast your BBC Wiltshire Sound bugle impression on all networks as some sort of early morning alarm call - then all us Forum-ers can get up and tune in.

Hehe - there's only one person that could have put that question to me! Are you on tonight? Stand up and wave!!!
