Did anyone else spot this a few minutes ago!!!??? A BBC ONE promo advertising thus evening's episode of 'New Tricks' whilst the EastEnders opening titiles were running - it was faded out just as the episode began!!!

The credits are now showing!

err, why do you presume its pre-recorded?

Because the Coming Up next v/o played during the EE titles.

The voiceovers for the trails can be pre-recorded, which would explain why Lydiate was heard again when the trail was accidentally played.

As for continuity into programmes during idents and slides, I would think that's always live. There is only one exception I can think of, which would be TWO's Learning Zone strand.

Well if we're going to be really pedantic, our Foster's is brewed in Britain.

I thought I remembered someone saying E4's continuity was live? Don't think it is anymore as, at the end of one ad break during Ghostbusters 2 the other week, we stayed on a frame of a trail for a good few minutes before going back to the film (catching the last second of the end of the previous part) with no announcement, apology at the end etc.
