The BBC YouTube channel. If you don't fancy the files themselves, maybe just get the audio off the high quality versions and overdub that on to a recording.

Does anybody have the three versions in audio only clean? I know there are three

1 - Without Wallace & Grommit on them
2 - With Wallace saying "We're on BBC One... has somebody turned out the lights...?"
3 - With Wallace just doing the sleigh thing

Thanks in advance (if they are already on here somewhere can you point me in the right direction?...)

TV Ark has them I think: http://www2.tv-ark.org.uk/bbc1national/bbc1national2006.html

And they're on You Tube:

Clean version of the normal Wallace & Gromit one - http://hub.tv-ark.org.uk/dsplus/m.php?p=bbc1xmas2008main.rm - no announcer

Wallace speaks - http://hub.tv-ark.org.uk/dsplus/m.php?p=bbc1xmas2008main_voice.rm is uninterrupted for the most part

The ident without Wallace & Gromit (used for News) - http://hub.tv-ark.org.uk/dsplus/m.php?p=bbc1xmas2008news.rm (had to guess the URL as TV Ark have it linked wrong on their page) - no announcer.

I'm really liking the BBC1 presentation this year, in fact along with ITV1's nice set, 2008 is possibly in my opinion a golden year for Christmas idents.

When do you think they will or should go back to using the normal idents. I would argue that this year using the Christmas idents even on Friday would still be acceptable

Network - I wouldn't be suprised if they revert back to the normal set on New Years Day as they did last year, although up here in Scotland traditionally they keep the christmas idents on until the 3rd

Technically the 12 days of Christmas run until the 5th of January IIRC so the 3rd would be about right.

Nice touch from Dean Lydiate on continuity last night - his final announcement of the evening was an almost exact copy of the final announcement from 2001!

Do you think that for next Christmas BBC1 will go back to recycling idents and we'll see Penguins and Snowball again?

I'm hoping we will get themed idents again. Most probably Doctor Who, as long as there is more than one ident.

Does anyone know which year it was when we last did get the BBC1 christmas ident only lasting 3 days, and therefore when the idents were first extended to run until New Year, and of course to start earlier than Christmas Eve

I believe BBC scotland will still have them on tomorrow.

Assuming BBC1 network ends the Christmas idents tonight, the last junction is at 1.25am.

I would like to see them stay until tomorrow though - or maybe even until Saturday evening when it goes into Neon.

Yup BBC Scotland were using them until evening. ( Evening was when I stopped watching - they may have used them after! )

BTW did anyone else find BBC Scotland's Hogmanay trailer insulting and verging on the racist?

Surely they'll keep the ident until after Wallace and Gromit at 5.35 tomorrow?
