Some noteworthy comments - Duncan on hand last night with some excellent announcements. Full length (and black screen!) of the ident before Doctor Who - I take it there's two different W&G idents, one with the "we're on BBC One!" and one without. Nice final junction too with a name check, a goodnight, a Merry Christmas and the sound of a turkey all in one link! Shocked

And I notice it's down to NI for appropriateness - their news ident features whistling wind and faint chimes, much better.

Did you manage to capture any junctions?

Duncan was on top form last night, his announcement into News 24 with turkey sound effects and his intro to Carry On Follow That Camel with that infamous whistle sound did make me chuckle. And the woman on BBC2 this Boxing Day evening introducing the programmes showing in tribute to Bill Cotton has been good as well. She's like a female Duncan.

I'm fairly sure one year the pair of them did some joint continuity with Duncan closing BBC1 down and the lovely lady reminding him that they were still on air on BBC2.

I'm really liking the BBC1 presentation this year, in fact along with ITV1's nice set, 2008 is possibly in my opinion a golden year for Christmas idents.

When do you think they will or should go back to using the normal idents. I would argue that this year using the Christmas idents even on Friday would still be acceptable

Network - I wouldn't be suprised if they revert back to the normal set on New Years Day as they did last year, although up here in Scotland traditionally they keep the christmas idents on until the 3rd

I never really understand why they go back to regular idents on New Year's Day considering it's still part of the Christmas schedules.

They never used to pre-circles. I wonder why they changed their minds...

Does anybody have the three versions in audio only clean? I know there are three

1 - Without Wallace & Grommit on them
2 - With Wallace saying "We're on BBC One... has somebody turned out the lights...?"
3 - With Wallace just doing the sleigh thing

Thanks in advance (if they are already on here somewhere can you point me in the right direction?...)
