Shame the Subtitles tag is visible throughout - on all the other idents it fades in at the end. Being in red it draws your attention to it instantly, too.

Oddly BBC Three is still in normal mode whilst BBC Four has dug out its trusty Frost ident (IIRC it was the other way round last year).

Shame about BBC Two reusing last year's ident; they should have at least produced a new ident featuring the Sprite to air alongside the other two. Also note that BBC Two trails are using the standard endboards as opposed to the ident themed ones used last year Confused.

Yes, very odd - anyone in the know care to explain? Confused

Well I've seen the new Xmas BBC 1 ident 3 times now and I'm bored of it already, is there different variations of this ident or is this it for the next 2 weeks?

I'm already bored of it aswell, I think its because some of us have already saw it over the internet and YouTube.

I think the music is a bit boring, as is the repetition of the ident when Gromit is moving around the snow. Its not my favourite..

There's not a lot to the ident really, not as good as the penguins or even the giant snowball which had a lot more going on.

I remember people complaining about the Penguins not having a Christmas feel. So what is so Christmassey about one man and his dog on a sled? Wink

Snowball is definately the best Christmas ident of the circles era.

Perhaps that should be "...of the Circles era so far ", as I didn't think that BBC One was rebranding next year! Wink

I'd agree with that although I think with Wallace and Gromit we could all do with a laugh this year.

Funny really, I distinctly recall people whinging at the time that Snowball was dull, dreary, crap and non-Christmassy.
