BBC One - Wallace And Gromit Christmas Ident A

Love it! Can't wait to see it on air... and possibly some other idents. However i'm not a fan of how the music fades in....

And for sheer fun factor Penguins is still my fave xmas ident ever

He is 88 after all he cannot voice Wallace forever. I never really liked Peter Sallis because of all the anti-Southerner 'jokes' he says on Last of the Summer Wine.

but where is the 2nd ident?

If you remember in 2004 (when Blue Peter had the ident competition) they referred to there being "several idents" - they actually meant an ident and some stings. Maybe that's the case here.

Better than the penguins no doubt, but not exactly suitable for leading into news and documentaries, and not as good as the ones they did for BBC2 over a decade ago.

Well there's the one on the Guardian website and then the one on you tube. Both look the same but the latter has Wallace talking.

That's what I'm thinking. Perhaps they should have another version with no Wallace or Gromit in it i.e. same setting but without a "stuck Wallace" or a "sledging Gromit"?

Suziechan said on Digital Spy that there is a second ident with just the logo that will lead into the news.
