The 17th would be best into the Strictly final, but no chance. It'll be the 3rd at the latest. If I had my way it would be Fri 23rd.

If anything, they'd still contain the same ghastly soundtrack that accompanied the personality 2 Christmas idents last year.
Problem though is, the BBC aren't bothering to invest equally in Christmas presentation for both One and Two.
I'm certain that BBC FOUR will still use the same Christmas idents as it has done before previously.
I'm predicting that the Christmas idents will be unveiled on the 1st
again
. BBC ONE will probably get new idents for the month but I suspect BBC TWO will probably use the same idents as they did last year.

It's been 5 years since BBC2 last invested in a proper Christmas package, I would be very disappointed (although hardly surprised) if we don't see something new there.
As suggested previously, a connecting theme across the BBC channels would be the most cost-effective move. The floating light-boxes from 2009 was a lovely idea that sadly didn't make it past the surrounding furniture.

We already know that in relation to the deaths of this year, the News Channel's review of the year will be at least an hour long when it's normally half an hour, and that was announced before many more news events and deaths continued to occur.
I would be surprised if BBC One didn't do some sort of Year Review programme this year as it's been such a eventful year. They haven't done one for at least ten years though if my memory serves me right, maybe even longer than that.
I also wonder, considering the mammoth amount of bonkers News this year, if BBC One will have a proper "Review of the Year" this year?

Depending on how tomorrow goes not sure I'd be making any assumptions we all get to the end of 2016 just yet.
In around 4 weeks time, we will know what BBC One's Christmas theme will be this year. I also wonder, considering the mammoth amount of bonkers News this year, if BBC One will have a proper "Review of the Year" this year?

I'd agree with that. It does seem odd BBC1 getting into the Christmas spirit on the 1st Dec by using the ident to link into Homes under the Hammer.

Actually I'd just go 24/7 with the look from the 23rd but use it for Christmas specials in the run up. This is pretty much what C4 did last year.

Tomorrow's vote is for the vote only. The new president don't enter the White House until February. We'll still be here come the New Year. Although there's more chance of a UK civil war over Brexit than there is armageddon due to President Trump elect!
Not a very festive thought is it?

I'd like to see something new from BBC Two this year but won't hold my breath. I wasn't a fan of their annoying "two-two-two-two" choir idents last year.
BBC One will hopefully give us a memorable one this year. I have to admit that I quite liked the Sprout Boy ones last year and especially the "lanterns" ident into the news- very nice and very festive.
My all time favourite was the 1999 holographic Santa ident with the BBC One balloon flying by. This was the last time that their Christmas idents aired for only 3 days- compare that with 31 days last year!!
