BBC One Christmas 2019

OK, how did that happen given that the Sunday Politics is a pre-rec and has the ident spliced onto the front of it? Were they originally planning to launch last night and had a rethink?

I assume this will be the news safe version and there will be other versions with more action.

Although bearing in mind that's probably the news-safe version, I'm not overly impressed - the 2013 wrapping paper idents were far better. But an improvement over the past few years.

Not every area used it.

I was watching BBC One London on iPlayer and it had the swimmers. My eyes. Hadn't seen it used in NI in a long time.

I like the Christmas news ident. Looking forward to a break from Oneness.

Christmas Trailer’s on iPlayer too, might give a clue to the style of ident at the end...

Love it. Very un-BBC I think.

If the ident at the end is anything to go by it looks like the BBC One logo will return to its original place and size and the Oneness tag replaced with #XmasLife at the bottom.

I like the little animation of a snowball going through the hole in the O

This is a lot bloody better than I was expecting!

Also a return to BBC One red in the idents?

You could copy and paste that for every BBC Christmas look since 2016.
