Just a thought, but if some are hoping that the Christmas pres brings an end to Oneness, would they have created six new idents in July to last just five months? Also last year they had a form of Times New Roman font in their Christmas promo film. I honk it will be most definitely continuing. I also think the promo we saw last night could be the News Ident.

I think if we were lucky enough to see the back of Oneness in 2019 it would probably be later in the year.

Oneness is almost certainly the least well-received set of BBC One idents that there's ever been, certainly as far as the members of TV Forum are concerned. I hated it at the beginning but find the latest ones slighlty more tolerable.

However, the notion of Oneness being ditched was discussed last Christmas- and it didn't happen. Here we are again approaching Christmas and the discussion re-surfaces. I know a lot of you really don't like it, and I'm not a big fan myself. But to think that BBC One would re-fresh their branding after only 2 years is a pipe dream. I can see Oneness staying put for at least another couple of years, if not longer. And there's diddly squat we can do or say to change that.

A "Christmas 2018 - BBC" playlist has appeared on my TV YouTube app under the BBC channel with 3 videos but going into it just gives a playback error, no thumbnails either. Maybe worth keeping an eye on tomorrow.

Probably the wrong thread, but there was just a mistake heading into the News at Ten, hopefully TVHome caught it.

The wrong pre-recorded announcement played, warning about strong language in Mrs Brown's Boys.

EDIT: The version on TVHome is arguably worse because the local announcement went out and then it cuts to the news where the recording is still playing.

The BBC are probably really in full Christmas preparation mode, and some things can slip through which are not intended to be revealed until later. I am looking forward to the "Wonderland'" Christmas presentation on BBC One. I hope it will be good.
