Yes, a lot of them are recorded on the Friday. They won't play the ident seperately, it and the announcement will just be edited onto the beginning.
Either the regions didn't have it in time or it was just overlooked. Those making the programme will be concerned with the programme, not about whether it has the correct branding - they'll just use the media that's on their edit suite, and probably just copy the beginning from last week.
I know in previous years the regions have had the Xmas idents at least a few days before they launch... as a contact at a region has been able to give me sneak peeks of them (albeit only the news safe versions!)
Just a theory but aren’t the regional politics shows recorded earlier in the week? Assuming the ident is packaged up as part of the programme it could explain why we got normal idents?
