I'll just leave this here.

Arhh. Remove the tree (and the rather cluncky Caps Lock On Every Word hashtag), and there's nothing festive about that shot.

Why do I hope, that we see Sproutboy in his Speedos running up the beach Reggie Perrin-esque in at least one endboard?
My user name might look like Hatton Cross, but it's pronounced Throatwobbler Mangrove.

Well, a 21st Century Christmas is more commercialism than festivities isn't it? Besides, if it's TOO festive it would get utterly boring come Christmas itself. I think the key has to be whether the audience can relate to what they're seeing. A Christmas tree, a Christmas fair, a Christmas Day walk along the beach if you're lucky enough to live by the sea. I'm sure all these things reflect quite accurately a modern Christmas.
If we only get one life, why does it take several attempts to get it right?
