Seeing Doctor Who's mug is going to get awfully tiresome this Christmas!

I don't watch the series, like tens of million others. Why not choose something more general?

Millions do, millions don't. So what?

Its on for 3 weeks and will never again be seen - I do wish people would get over it.

I don't like penguins. I don't watch their nature documentaries, I walk straight past them in the zoo, I don't even eat their chocolate covered biscuits. The 2007 ident set was therefore not general enough.

I also don't like children, so 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 ..... oh you get the picture.

Let's give it a week or two. The complaints will soon come in.

Problem with this one is there's too much Tennant, pulling that stupid face at the start. It'll grate more than the busier 2007 idents in time. Wait and see. Even for non-penguin enthusiasts, the penguins idents were busy, fun and cute not just more airtime for an already over-exposed actor.

I imagine you'll be like a coiled spring waiting to see those complaints.

You scan the points of view message board if you will.

Me? I'd rather wait and see what Santa brings.

I hope to be proved right rather than wrong, Gavin, yes.

We'll see Smile

It would be nice if there could be a shorter version, maybe starting at the shot of the reindeers running, so you don't need to see the whole build up all the time. Not that I care that much - the more Tennant the merrier as far as I'm concerned Laughing

Anyway never mind all that.

What are *you* getting me for Christmas?

For your outstanding contributions on these forums across the year, a satsuma and a bag of salted nuts.

I have a nut allergy, but the thought was lovely. Smile

Just saw a Christmas breakdown slide on BBC1 before The Weakest Link. Very festive.

They showed Capes into The 6 O'Clock News tonight. Didn't think we'd see the regular idents again until after the Christmas period.

The actor who took a stereotypically laughed at format, and made it into one of the world's most popular brands/programmes, kinda deserves some on-screen recognition before he leaves at New Year... regardless of not liking the programme yourself, and are therefore biased, you must at least give him that kind of credit.

In regards to 'complaints', I doubt there'll be enough sad people to make enough fuss over a christmas ident.
