Leeds played their usual end titles then cut back to network who were stuck on a News Channel freeze frame from 18:43 showing Premiere League fixtures. This then cut to the apology caption.

My guess as to what went wrong is that the News Channel was on the sustaining feed as usual via NC1 so everything looked OK to the regions and the director was counting out of the opt on talkback as usual. Some regions opted back on cue, some waited to see network cut away from the NC first.

Then the vision mixer crashed when they cut from the NC to the coming up slide and put up that 15 minutes old frozen frame and probably wouldn't respond to any input, so all the director could do was put up the apology caption and then the One Show via Emergency Cut?

I guess the director was quite glad to have a live show next!
