Last time I checked BBC 1 & 2 were still using Xmas idents, well done I'm glad as it seems a waste of time to do them for just 3 days
The BBC 1 & 2 Christmas idents are continuing until the end of play on Tuesday night.
Maybe there will new idents after the xmas idents are taken off, you never no do you?

Well I've never known the BBC to out-run ITV's Xmas idents, but as I tuned into Carlton this afternoon I was met my the GM rotating strawberry - most disappointing!
Tuesday!? They've never run them *that* long before, have they!?

Indeed... makes you wounder if BBC1 is supposed to be getting the 'logo box in a corner of the screen treatment' just like BBC2 got last month - they were supposed to be changing in the new year after all - this extended run of the Xmas idents could be to allow them to update all the ballon idents with the new branding style.

In all honesty - do you *really* believe that? It would take hardly any time at all to do those modifications and it's not as if they need the time to take them off the server, modified, and then put back again. It's like a website - just overwrite.
Besides, I thought it was confirmed there would definitely be no changes in January.

Well if you ask me I think it looks stupid that only BBC 2 have had the box treatment. They clase with each other. they should be all either one or the other (preferably the centre alligned logo design and new idents on all BBC channels, especially BBC choice and BBC 1, im getting sick of seeing the balloons now).

I guess I could have missed that. As for the updating process - that's something I don't know about - sure, the graphics wouldn't take long to generate on a computer, but I personally don't have a clue what is required to put those graphics onto the idents.
