Somehow I think the characters (toy dog & dinosaur) have something to do with the premier of Toy Story (Christmas TV must be going downhill if thats the top movie on Christmas day).
Just to let you know, TV Home has been updated with 3 BBC One idents... the BBC Two ident... 4 Carlton idents... 3 announcerless E4 idents... ITV1 Granadaland ident... ITV Channel ident and a Partridge in a pear tree. Ahem.
Cheers, Asa

Another version! Vaguely different, but all the same. One of the balloons floated up and one floated down, and the camera zoomed in to the window a bit more this time.
The BBC idents for both 1 & 2 are truly awful this year. The 2 is the worst 2 ident for years, yellow for goodness sake !! BBC One is drab, very dull. The best ident I've seen so far this year is the itv1 GMG one.
ITV1 - Disaster
BBC One - Not in the same league as last year's
BBC Two - Someone really should make a point of reminding the BBC that yellow isn't a Christmas colour
Haven't seen Channel 4's, if they've done anything.
The only truely impressive Christmas idents I've seen this year have been those from Channel 5. Original, thoughtful and very stylish.

It is if you have a pee in the snow!
So there you have it - the BBC literally do think their idents are a load of p iss.

Or it could obviously represent the custard on your Christmas Pud.
(BTW, don't talk to me about custard!!! Had enough to do with custard to last me a lifetime, quite literally! )

Has this been mentioned...
BBC ONE showed the Christmas Preview again at 9.20pm tonight!
Plus there was a mistake with the junction at 9.30pm, the FA Cup trailer was cut off, for the ident.
Yeah, what happened was that the BBC TWO Films trailer before stayed on too long at the end. After that the screen went a bit green for a moment, a bit like when there was the power failure. After that the FA Cup trailer started a few seconds later than it would have been scheduled, so that when the ident started on time it cut off the end of the trailer.
