Love the BBC one! They certainly are publisising (sp?) Only Fools and Horses aren't they? Not that I'm complaining!

I really like that BBC1 ident!  I think it's rather sweet.  But sadly, this is probably the last ever new version of the balloon Sad

The BBC 2 xmas ident is vile!!!!!!. Since when has bright yellow been christmassy? The only thing that resembles anything to do with christmas is the christmas tree shape, but even that doesn't look festive. they are HORRIBLE!

I love the BBC One ident. Very imaginative. Do you think that there will be more than one? About it being the last original balloon, well in the West Midlands just before Midlands Today we saw a brand new ballooon ident (pretty sure it's new) featuring the Birmingham skyline with the rotunda. It is obviously a computer graphics but it's original!

Not too keen on the BBC TWO one this year, I'm afraid...

But the one on BBC ONE is great, those characters remind me of some of the older Christmas idents from the early ninties, except more fun this time! Smile And I have to say I haven't realised how much I've warmed to the BBC ONE balloon over the years until I saw it suddenly & unexpectedly (because I thought the toys' orange ones were the balloony element) appeared behind them outside the window. It looked so nice and familiar, I didn't think I'd be saying this but it'll be sad to see it go.

Oh! I thought last year's 22/12/00 xmas idents launch was just a fluke! Maybe this is a more concrete sign that the beeb has dropped it's scrooge like policy of xmas idents only between Xmas Eve and Boxing Day. Well done BBC!

Also, love the bbc one ident, very twee!

I didn't turn on my computer all day, didn't check the forum... But still taped the first BBC1 xmas ident!! (Yay! Ready for my site!) You see I always make this xmas tape every year, and was trying to catch all the trails and all the junctions this year, but it was also accompanied with other trail tripe I didn't want! So I'll just have to leave my other VCR to record all night, and copy the trails onto my xmas tape!! http://web.ukonline.co.uk/tv.home/forum/emoticons/biggrin.gif My busy life!!

And guess what - the first ident at 7pm linked into this Eammon Holmes tripe! See what I'm getting at?

Yay! http://web.ukonline.co.uk/tv.home/forum/emoticons/biggrin.gif There are more than one christmas ident! Similar ideas but still different with theis time just floating around with yellow balloons.

Yeah, I saw it just now, it kinda focused on the Trotters' car more, while the first one I saw had the dinosaur doing more. Maybe there's 3 idents - one for each toy?

Also nice little slogan, 'Home for Christmas', even if it is a little American TV sounding.

Oh dear - nothing to look forward to on Christmas eve now...

Anyone know the reason why the Beeb are running with the xmas idents 2 days earlier than usual..?

Look closely at the view from the window-doesn't it look like this past Christmas ident? (From the TV Room)

They did it last year - it's becoming a regular thang! Probably to get us into the xmas spirit early rather than on Xmas Eve!
