Just seen the second BBC2 xmas ident before the second Simpsons - it had a 2 holding a tree.

You will also be pleased to know that there was no bbc.co.uk URL, and Subtitles had a black shadow behind it Smile very nice

BBC One South East showed theirs before the 1:30 news this lunchtime - I wasn't expecting it and didn't record it. Needless to say, it wasn't repeated at 6:30, much to my annoyance!

The ident showed a room with the toys from the Christmas preview, with the balloon outside in the dark showing through a window.

I'm actually impressed with the BBC Two one (just the one AFAIK although it did seem to have a very quick trailer animation - something not seen on BBC Two since the relaunch). Nice to see the lack of url.

I actually get the feeling more time was spent over this. Bit more explosive. Let's see what BBC One is like...

Just seen it again (in 14:9 widescreen - watching on analog at the moment) so I guess there much be just the one again this year.  This time I captured it in RealMedia for you - the file is 320KB, lasts 16 seconds and you can download it from here

EDIT: and here is the BBC1 varient - 300KB, also in Realmedia.

I agree with you there. I actually like the BBC2 one I saw before the 2nd better than the non-Xmas ones. That explosion certainly puts alot of life into the ident!!
