That might explain why the pre-prepared package that the news channel showed just after yesterday's verdict got pulled before it finished. I though it odd that the cut away from it when there was nothing live happening

A lot of problems on BBC One HD this afternoon - I'm on DTT only so unaware if other platforms were affected.

Currently (at the time of posting) it has just switched back to native HD, having relayed upscaled BBC One SD for about ten minutes. During Wimbledon coverage of the Venus Williams match, there were multiple occurrences of frozen picture, loss of sound, audio splats and switches between upscaled SD & native HD.

Couldn't get this link to work, but this one works for me...

I wonder why it is listed as one programme. The Sky EPG lists them like this too. I wonder if they have edited it to remove the credits from the first and the opening titles from the second one. I hope they are uncut, but I doubt they will be.

Huh. I didn't know the VIDEO Plus+ system was still working.

Unsurprising that it is still working. Surprising that anyone bothers to publish the codes still. I'm sure it will still work long after the codes cease being published.

Well, yes, that's what I sort of meant. Apologies.

Interesting to see Only Fools back on BBC1 again. I remember way back (1990s/early 2000s?) they had a repeat on a Saturday evening around 6pm but this stopped when they started getting the new BBC1 controllers in, none of which were huge fans of the show I gather.

Even more interesting that they're supposedly remastered and uncut.

Will need to set my Sky+ for them!

It is a bit strange they are listed as 1 programme despite being a double bill of episodes though - perhaps you're right and they'll just cut the credits/titles and make them run into one...? Or perhaps they have some in-vision commentary between the episodes of former Only Fools stars?

Indeed. Although it sees very little use these days I still have a Video+ enabled VHS machine that controls a cable/satellite set top box and it will work as long as the codes are published

And of course will they keep the original theme music on episode 1?

They will be cut, they're going out in Daytime and quite possibly a lot of the racial language would be deemed inappropriate even in the evening thesedays.
