I know I will probably be in a minority (of 1) about this, but something doesn't sit quite right with me about the wording of that slogan.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's perfectly valid - but I look at it and get the feeling it would read a little better as:

"BBC One has never looked so good"

It might be something to do with it sounding slightly past tense without a 'has', but more clearly in the present tense if it was added - as I say, this is probably not a correction per se, just something which reads better.

(NB: Despite being January, I was going to say this could be a strong contender for the TVF 'Most Trivial Post Of 2011' award, but for the realisation that my chances would be reduced to nil by the end of the summer Sad )

Few problems with BBC One (network) just now. The end slide for Eastenders stayed up a little too long and we missed the start of the 8pm news. After the news, there the ident had no CA going in to Holby City.

What happened in the nations? Did they miss the start of the news too?

I certainly heard an announcer saying something on the line of "Job cuts at Holby City".

I just checked, the CA said "Cost cutting at Holby City next on BBC One" and also promoted what was on BBC Three over the end of EastEnders but there was no credit squeeze. The ident before Hoby City didn't have a CA at all.

Does anyone know who was tonight (31/12/10-01/01/11) BBC One continuity announcer? As they said it was there last day.

A nice signoff it was too.

I heard Peter on BBC2 tonight (before Top Gear). Is he staying with the BBC?

More worryingly, why are these promos produced in SD ?!

Interesting to note that the BBC Wales newsreader was wearing a Marie Curie daffodil though. I don't think there are any connections between the charity and Wales are there?
