So now it's practically Christmas (only 99 days to go!) can anyone shed light on this year's Christmas ident?

What's the big event programme this year? 2009 was David Tennant's Doctor Who departure, and 2008 had a new Wallace and Gromit as well the premiere of the Curse of the Were-Rabbit film - both became the theme for those years' idents. Wouldn't surprise me if the ident was used to promote something again.

Possibly a strictly come dancing ident? http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s104/strictly-come-dancing/news/a277753/bbc-planning-strictly-christmas-special.html

Ok, who's going to start the 'Annual BBC Official Branded Special Amazing Christmas Ident Thread 2010'...

..sorry, as you were.

And who's going to be the first to comment that x isn't an appropriate theme for a Christmas design, the launch date is 2 weeks too early and they're already sick of seeing it after only the second outing. Laughing

Who is that God awful female continuity announcer on BBC One at the moment? Crokey voiced and generally sounds very amateur indeed!

She has been mentioned before on this thread, her voice breaks up a lot it has to be said.

I think the croaky voice is part of her 'style'.

Hopefully BBC won't do a programme specific Christmas ident this year. I don't have a major problem with them, its just they get old a lot quicker than generic ones like ITV1's Christmas ident.

Hmm... "Nine ladies dancing" anyone? Smile (harking back to the 1997 idents!)

It is but I think she's perfect for BBC Three. I've grown accustomed to her voice now and quite like it.

And is there going to be a new Wallace and Gromit ident? Looks that way from the trailer for World Of Inventions.

Well the Argos Christmas campaign has just begun... a sure-fire way of knowing that, yes, it's still far too early.

Rock & Chips (Only Fools spinoff) is supposedly currently filming for a Christmas and Easter special.

Looks like that's Christmas Day 9pm on BBC1 sorted then? Smile
