You also missed special Toy Story next/later slides before and after the news at 5.15!

Here it is for those who missed it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PD2N_z9bYhc (not the best capture, IPhone filming TV screen!)

There was another one before the film and this one in the junction between the Golf and the News.

I can't help thinking the broadcast of the film was just an advert for Toy Story 3. How would it come about that BBC One showed Toy Story 2 tonight? Would Disney let them have it cheaper if they agreed to show it during the Toy Story 3 promotional window?

Ah! Just saw the one after the weather and just before the film started on my Sky+ recording! - I can upload these if anyone wants.

Showing Toy Story 2 just before the release is normal, they do it with other films, I was expecting this but I have been at work for the last few days so I havent seen it advertised. The BBC have rights to Toy Story 1&2 so I would think they will get 3 in the future and plus, they make good fillers when the BBC need them or even a flim on Christmas Eve on BBC3.

The BBC always do stupid things like that when schedules change, rather than simply delaying the schedule. They often end up putting subsequent programmes on earlier than originally billed too, meaning anyone tuning in specifically for them ends up missing half the show they were intending to watch.

Seems quite a sensible way to get back on to schedule to me, especially as they are actually showing programmes that people might want to watch tonight (as long as they don't mind in-vision signing) rather than just joining BBC News. Anyway, as PVRs and on-demand services become more and more mainstream it doesn't really matter if the schedule changes at the last minute. I'm more concerned about how bad the BBC are at updating the EPG sometimes rather than the fact that they have changed the schedule.

Noticed in the one Sunday TV mag 'Catch Me If You Can' is rescheduled for next Saturday night.

Just a quick note to mention that BBC One are showing the first ever episode of The Weakest Link on Monday. Should be interesting.

Is that because it's 10 years old? I'm sure it started around 2000.

Yeah I think your right - according to wikipidia ( yes I know reliable) it says "which first appeared in the United Kingdom on BBC Two on 14 August 2000." - which would make the actual anniversary Saturday.
