Caught the trailer last week and thought it was a nice idea - good to see something less "nighttime" on a Saturday night. Odd to see a 50sec version, don't think any of the current batch go on that long?

And I take it there's Nations' equivalents?!

Wow, that's flipping awesome! One of the best idents for a while now from any network. Just think what could happen if the same level of creativity went into BBC Two's presentation. God, that channel needs a complete refresh!

Oh dear, that is dreadful. The best animators in plasticine maybe, but not at this. It looks like a cheap American cartoon import.

BBC 1 needs to refresh its whole identity again. Since last year's edits, the idents just don't appeal anymore; they no longer do what they were intended to do.

On a positive note, Channel 4's idents are still ace! Even after 5 years of being on screen, I am still not bored of them and I guess many other people would agree. I think they could easily leave this look as their identity for another 5 years.

Great in that clip, but if the BBC do their usual hatchet job on it on screen it'll probably be awful.

Do you mean the one occasion I can think of where the BBC have shortened idents and it's come out badly? In fact, it hasn't even come out particularly poorly.

Wow! All they need is some half-decent shows and they'll be on track.

Over the last week or so, I've actually noticed that some of the full length idents have been used on BBC1 (such as Capes and Hippos), although still with the music of the shorter idents, and with the BBC One logo still appearing at the beginning.

WOW that has to be one of the best BBC ONE idents ever! The music and visuals are both amazing!

They have had some of the idents with full length versions since the update. Capes has always had two versions, the long one with the logo appears before the circle, and the short edit. Same with Hippos.

I like the new ident but once again they have abandoned the short form up rule. Why don't they just use the short idents and the old longer idents? It would make the presentation really fresh. Also I only just noticed that the TARDIS has landed on The Wicked Witch Of The West.
