Is that going to be in permanent use, or have they just made it to mark the 25th anniversary of EastEnders, then after (say) this Sunday it will never be aired again? BBC One don't normally bring out commemorative idents to mark anniversaries of long-running programmes, do they?

Yes, Tumble, it's being set up for a still too for when the Queen dies. Rolling Eyes

Did the ident feature Bradley? Because if it does, it's not likely, because he popped his clogs yesterday,

His last episode is the 22nd.

You have to have the customary hospital scenes before someone is dead in a soap.

BBC One went through all that was on their channels last night (BBC One, Two, Three and Four) and they showed the original BBC Three logo, the blue one. Seeing as they rebranded BBC Three in 2008 (?), why was it shown?

Cockup, usually happens, BBC Midlands regularly use the 2002-2006 BBC One Midlands logo.

It wasn't that big Tom9, honestly. It was just the usual cross-promotion with the old BBC Three logo on it.

I've noticed that quite a few times actually.

They also seem to have the old bbc.co.uk logo box on there too (with the blue squares), rather than the BBC ONLINE box that seems to have replaced it on other ECPs.

Regarding the EastEnders ident, I understand it is going to air for the rest of the year celebrating the 25th Year of the soap.
