I've noticed today that BBC1 has some Halloween inspired coming up later holding slides. Sorry I don't know the correct term. But it had the BBC One carved out on a pumpkin.

Thanks Jonny. I like these now/next boards far more than the bland ones they used to do that were just red.

Don't know if I'm late to the party but I saw Moon was shown last night. First time I've seen it since it was "rested"

In its full, original form?

Yes, Moon was shown into the News Channel on Network BBC1 saturday night, it would have been the original short version as it was never re-edited with the others, very strange as it should now be the Obit symbol. Pehaps a very bad link to Halloween in some way?

Maybe that was why. Bad link indeed. Moon was such a spooky ident...

Is the music not too uplifting? Personally, I think the Helicopter ident remains the most appropriate of the lot for such a situation (certainly worked OK going into the Michael Jackson newsflash).

I disagree, I think the new music for Helicopter makes it unsuitable for an Obit (especially Royal) the original music would have been more useable.

To me, BBC Manchester is the building, not the radio station...

Oh, no, no no. The Building is BBC North West (it's confusing).

I imagine it would go out with the audio muted in a royal obit scenario.

A Still (of the ident), perhaps darkened slightly, no music.
