The need to refer to the rolling news channel as 'the BBC NC' rather than 'BBC News' perfectly demonstrates the lunacy of dropping the '24' tag, but we've been down this road many times before.

It's done that since October 2006 when the idents launched and never changed. So somehow, it failed to register it seems.
Just checking - did it start with this refresh of the current circle idents or did I somehow fail to register it all the way through the original circle idents?

I wish they'd just mix the short versions with the longer ones, it would mean more idents and more variety. Has the bicycles powering the lights ident been shown a lot? I've hardly seen it.

I've only seen it on a Monday night in the junctions preceding Bang Goes The Theory.

Apart from its launch before The Weakest Link its only been used to before bang goes the theory, as far as im aware, which I guess the question is once the series finshes will It be retired?
