But those are all meant to be a bit surreal, whereas I'd argue this one is meant to be a bit more 'everyday'. It's not bizarre enough to be truly unusual, but too contrived to be natural. It's just a bit lame really.
Wasn't expecting a new ident. Not bad, very weird not to see a form up or BBC One swirl. It's good to have a new one and it isn't cut down. I wish they'd bring back the long versions and have them mixed in with the shorter versions.

This is only a temporary symbol for use around Bang! output, it won't be around forever, probably explains the cheap production values on it. Also think the circle reveal isn't that exciting. Some lightbulbs in a circle, not exactly an interesting result to an 'experiment'.
BBC One Wales have been promoting the National Eisteddfod a lot over the last few days - most of the trailers feature people from the area where the Eisteddfod is being held reminding people to turn over to S4C and/or Radio Cymru to see live coverage.
Last night at 8:30, though, one such trailer became an unexpected piece of in-vision continuity promoting both S4C and BBC One, and linking into
Seaside Rescue
without an ident.

I think there was a new ident at 7:00 Today, It had a load of people on cycles, and then there was the bbc one logo on a board, and lights began to come on. It was nice.

Anyone notice the "This Week on the BBC" trail before last night's Ten? A very strange trail IMO. Apart from breaking Marketing's own rules by animating on the | B | | B | | C | blocks on at a time (they're supposed to fade or cut on together) they used an italic font for the rest of the text through the trail. The point of the trail seemed to be to promote programmes and features that you might not ordinarily come across. It featured Robert Peston on "The BBC News Channel" (I thought the BBC wasn't supposed to be referring to the NC as such?!) one of the Proms on BBC Radio 3 and something else on BBC Four. Very strange. Looked like it had been made as a mock...
