Interestingly, the Panorama Fake Sheikh programme which was supposed to be broadcast on Monday but was postponed, is being shown at 7.30pm tonight, reducing The One Show's runtime by half an hour. Are they worried that by waiting until Monday there's a chance it could be blocked from airing again?

What were the promos broadcast on the network between Local news and the one show at 18.58 ?

From memory they were for warhorse and Atlantis.

Strange one here, Scotland only had 50 secs of promos, both Scottish programmes, one for the Rugby tomorrow and one for Alex on Wednesday at 10.35.

Was that Christmas 1975/1976?

The first animated BBC1 Christmas ident from 1986. Based on three winning designs from a Children's BBC competition to design the Christmas idents for that year. I remember when Philip Schofield had black hair and launched the competition!

When you look at some of these BBC 1 Christmas idents, I wonder why people were annoyed with last years. They were nicely animated, simple and Christmassy, and had more variations to what they offered prior to 2000. Is it that we've been spoilt in recent years? Is it that advertisers are putting more effort into their Christmas advertisement campaigns that we expect the same from television presentation too?

Nice to see the Blackpool ident again, not seen that in a while.
