As I said in the requests fourm it has already debuted, but as far as I am aware not in Wales nor Network I remember being shown in scotland and definetly has been shown in N.Ireland
As shown in requests, BBC One's new idents put up on Youtube with clean audio.
Here's the unseen Penguins:

Personally, I prefer it to the Banjos.

The BBC One Northern Ireland announcer has just apologised for technical problems during Last of the Summer Wine, emphasising that the programme was coming "from London".
Anyone witness these technical problems?

Yes me. They played the credit ECP during the programme at the beginning. But instead of the live programme being shown in the lower box, it showed the actual credits but with the live programmes soundtrack. Does this mean the ECP is pre-recorded?
Anyway he did appologise but it did spoil my enjoyment of the programme (even though it is rubbish now compared to it's 1980s heyday).

I wouldn't have thought the ECP was pre-recorded. It would be virtually impossible to create a seamless transition into a pre-recorded ECP where Last of the Summer Wine is concerned.
I suspect the director was rehearsing the ECP, using a separate recording of the programme.

That sounds about right, AIUI the automation system they use is quite clever in that they can do watch full previews of junctions with transitions and the like. There's no need for multiple copies of course, it's all on server.
It does sound as though either the rehearsal made it to air or somehow they skipped forward to the credit sequence, at the timecodes for the credit squeeze.

Interesting junction out of CBBC on BBC One tonight in Scotland. On came the BBC > NOW trailer with background music and no announcer. Then the performing dogs ident came on ( branded as BBC One Scotland ) with no announcer either. Think they were maybe gearing up for the changeover of idents on BBC Two? Interestingly the same junction ( 515pm ) on BBC Two wasn't branded as Scotland.

What's interesting about that? Idents in many junctions on BBC Two in Scotland carry Network branding - in spite of the fact that the same junction often contains locally-branded trails. Make sense of that if you can!

Was a general fault if you ask me, regardless of what they've got to do they still have a station to provide continunity.......As with regards to BBC 2, as what the previous poster said....It's a regular occurance, up here mate BBC 2 try and stay with network as long as they can obviously there are a few regional opt outs and a few programme changes out with the network and that's when we see the BBC Two Scotland Brand

What would they be preparing exactly? Adding new idents onto the servers is no different to adding a new trail and that's done many times a week.
They can load them on weeks before (and remove old ones weeks afterwards) if they want... which gets shown is all dependent on what's scheduled. At any one time there'll be hundreds of items which aren't correct and only one that is!
