I thought the issue was that the BBC One logo was in slightly the wrong place so fades from trails etc into the clock would look poor.

Couldn't they just work on it and release it at a later date?

I may be wrong but there used to be a live version that worked on your desktop and worked in real time.

I remember something like that, back in the day Laughing

As do I, but pretty sure that was a mock.

Something of a crisis is developing at BBC One towers, they've not received tonight's lottery results, the distraught male announcer has stated that he hopes to be able to give them out after Sportsday.

The Euromillions results are here, http://www.lottery.co.uk. So must be a problem in Camelot.

EDIT: They've now said they can't bring us the results tonights, with an apology and directed us to the BBC's Lottery website for further updates. They could have least have checked the Euromillions results with other Lottery organisations in Europe.

The raffle is a UK exclusive, so that would have been missing anyway. Presumably they're not allowed to announce one without the other.

EDIT: It appears they have the results in a video posted on another thread. Presumably there's another issue at play - maybe BBC One is only allowed to announce results from a particular source.

Possible. But would have been helpful to announce to the Euromillions results and informed viewers that the raffle and Thunderball results would have been online when available. The Lottery themselves have tweeted the draw video after all as the post below will show and the post above has shown.

This tweet from the official account isn't very helpful either.

It'll be the BBC being as pedantic as ever - suspect they have to get the results from Camelot and have them verified 473 times before they can announce them. Guess it's better not to announce them than run the risk of announcing the wrong result.

My theory is that John Willan had a speck of dirt on his white gloves and needed to get them laundered.

Yeah fell off for me on Sky . . . BBC One and Two NI, both SD and HD.

That was odd, but quite nice. BBC One signed off to the news channel by going to the (non-time version) countdown, then titles, so they joined at the start of an item, rather than crashing in halfway through a report like normal.

Interesting, does the NC1 director have access to the News Channel running order and talkback to help them time this kind of thing? I wonder if the previous report needed a "this report contains flash photography" or similar kind of content warning that would have been missing had they just crashed in, so for compliance reasons they filled for a bit?
