Things went wrong at the start of EastEnders though. I couldn't hear any dialogue for at least the first five minutes. I couldn't hear much audio at all really, even though I had the volume right up. You would have thought with all the complaints they had about the audio levels during Jamaica Inn, they would have been more careful. Not even an apology at the end.

the same version is on iplayer too. ……..

Tonights episode of EastEnders actually didn't have any dialogue until about three and a half minutes in , it wasn't a sound issue.

I checked my volume too! I was bored for at least the first 10 minutes, because there wasn't much dialogue.

Points of View showed the leaked clip of Jeremy Clarkson saying "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe..." this afternoon. I was interested to see that according to the subtitles he said "n*****" (although in reality, it was unclear what he said). Surely someone will now complain to BBC Points of View about them broadcasting this word and then when they cover that complaint next week, someone else will complain and start an infinite loop of complaints for the rest of the series.

On another note, their phone number is 0370 9083199 but they insist on saying "[The]numbers charged as a local rate call from any landline" when the number is actually charged as a regular landline call from any phoneline in the UK. If the caller has free calls then it will be free to call BBC Points of View for example. What is a "local call" anyway? People might actually hear "lo-call" and assume it is charged at 0845 rate. As it is not a premium rate phone number they do not have to say anything about the cost of calling (which they can't predict with any accuracy anyway). I think they would be better taking this approach and not mentioning the cost at all if they can't get it right.

They already had to reshow a viewer-submitted video from two weeks ago on last week's programme. This is shaping up to be a very controversial series for Points of View.

An interesting departure into international politics on tonight's National Lottery Quiz (this screenshot has been doing the rounds on Twitter):

(Apparently this episode was filmed prior to the conflict and tonight's programme was pre-empted by a slide confirming this!)

I'm simply don't believe Dale's beard should be that much of an issue.

Didn't they edit out a question before because it was contentious.

That was following the death of Alexander McQueen IIRC.

It looks like he's borrowed one of Noel Edmonds old (pre-DonD) beards, circa 1998-2003!
