I assumed it was an attempt to tie the programme in with the CBBC viewers. I immediately thought it was a CBBC promo when I caught a glimpse of it the other day.
Maybe ...just maybe....and its with great hope i even contemplate this...but there teasing us with a rebrand....because honestly over 7 years with one package is starting to get at me, even just a set of new idents which mix people dancing in balloons that then zoom out to see the baloons going around in a circle (maybe even "circulating the globe")

-My fantasies
I highly doubt the BBC are going to replace the current branding with something that looks like a mid 00's maths textbook.
Strange, tonight's episode of Holby City is already on iPlayer, the description saying it was on last night at 11.15 - it wasn't according the guides. Has this happened before?
There's no reason why it should be. Holby City certainly wasn't on last night. Somebody probably pressed the wrong button.
It did sort of happen with and episode of eastenders, but that was scheduled to be on, but I think (cannot quite remember) an Andy Murray match which was going on forever kept pushing it back and back. but the eastenders episode still came up on iplayer after the original scheduled time.
Something similar happened in September 2012 when the final episode of 'Good Cop' was postponed because of the shooting of two police officers in Manchester.
It was subsequently withdrawn from the internet version of iPlayer, but remained on Sky's version for 7 days.
Waterloo Road used the same trailer style last series, but it was red that time.
Glad to see people pay attention before posting
The writers of the last few posts immediately before mine can't have noticed BBC News Fix's post either, as they're the ones my reply was directed to. They were suggesting that the Waterloo Road trailer style could be part of a rebrand, I was pointing out it was old.
