it seems someone has clicked the original theme was the best, so the 2014 theme is pretty decent.

Still Open All Hours, is dam good. I wonder if there could get a series out of it?

I doubt it, I thought it was a charming homage to something that was very popular in it's time, but I didn't think it was really that funny.

To me, it seems like it was a preparation for a series - it certainly didn't feel like a one off.

It might have felt like that, but hopefully sense will prevail and they will understand why the ratings were so big and not assume everyone wants it back full time. I like the idea they were just dropping in on the shop and the bits that seemed like they were preparation for the new series was more to give a sense of them showing things had progressed whilst some things still hadn't changed. From what I've read it sounds like David Jason wanted to do more if this was successful, but there is also talk of more Only Fools.

I'm fairly sure there will be a full series after last nights ratings. Roy Clarke and David Jason seemed very interested in doing more in during the pre publicity rounds.

I bet the first 30 seconds will be used for the Previously clips, as the music only gets going at around 0:30.

But you'd have to put those ratings down in part to fondness for the original and curiosity to see what it would be like and the fact it's Boxing Day. Haven't a few other shows been revived at Christmas and received similarly massive audiences but not been recommissioned for full series?

that is what the article says "which includes the music that underscores the 'Previously on Casualty' recap"

The music is good until the end when it just seems to fizzle out.

Really shouldn't Casualty and Still Open All Hours have their own threads so people aren't trawling through stuff they're not interested in? And also so people can find out about stuff they are interested in rather than it being buried in a mega thread? Neither are really related to BBC One's presentation which is what this thread is meant for.

That Voice promo is weird in that its story makes sense but it feels so totally alien from the show itself that it really doesn't fit.

It's very weird and unbearingly cringey.

I'm not a fan either... It's as if they were looking for such a clever, different idea that it ended up being too detached from the actual show.

There's promoting a show to get people to watch, and there's creating something that tries to impress in its own right, for its own sake. For a programme trail, this feels like a little much of the latter.

I agree; fairly decent... The tempo could perhaps be brought down a notch, and a few elements need beefing up to my ears (the melody at :40 in particular strikes me as sounding weak) but it does clearly take more cues from the original - it's nice to hear some of those formerly absent bits introduced back into the score.
